Interviews from To Have and To Hold: Marriage in Premodern Europe conference

Medievalists.net has posted two interviews from the conference To Have and To Hold: Marriage in Premodern Europe, which was held at the University of Toronto earlier this month (Click here for our news report on the conference).

Our first video is an interview with Dr. Michelle Armstrong Partida, a post-doctoral fellow at UCLA. She gave a paper entitled "Married Priests? The Practice of Clerical Unions in Fourteenth-Century Catalunya"

In the second video, we speak with Dana Wessell Lightfoot of the University of Texas (El Paso) and Alexandra Guerson, a Doctoral student at the University of Toronto. Professor Lightfoot gave a paper on “The Power to Divide?: Germania Marriage Contracts in Early Fifteenth-Century Valencia”. Alexandra Guerson's paper was on “Marriage, Polygamy, and the Protection of Jewish Autonomy in the Late Fourteenth-Century Crown of Aragon”

We will be releasing more interviews in the next few days.
